BLOK is the comedy directing duo, Paul Casey and Richard Jobson, who spent many-a-year prior making long-form comedy series across the world for the BBC, Channel 4, ITV, Sky and Netflix. In 2019, BLOK was born. Based in London and Stockholm and split as Director + DOP, BLOK makes performance-driven, comedy commercials, often combining multiple worlds, extraordinary characters, seamless transitions, quite a bit of art direction and set-building, and stunning VFX. The result is work that is funny but also wildly imaginative, whimsical and full of magic. Blok has directed commercials for Pepsi, McDonald’s, Deliveroo, Opel and Hendrick’s Gin, among many others. Their recent, dark, satirical comedic short film 'A Dishonourable Death', is set in 1837 and explores varying degrees of prejudice and the perception of ’the hero’.
