Renny Maslow is a director, photographer and writer who revels in character driven comedy.  A native New Yorker, now based in Los Angeles, Maslow studied film at Northwestern in Chicago before starting his career as an editor.  He first signed as a director to US/UK production company SMUGGLER, where he built a diverse body of work defined by a deft feel for grounding the absurd with understated performance. Directing spots for brands like State Farm, M&M’s, Target and British Telecom, he’s worked with the likes of Lebron James, Jimmy Fallon and John Cena.  This includes Super Bowl Ads for BUD LIGHT and The NFL on FOX which earned Maslow an EMMY AWARD.  He most recently helmed a film for Apex Legends featuring Chace Crawford in a satirical community theater interpretation of the battle royale, hero-shooter video game.

Outside of commercials, Maslow is attached to direct the feature film Bag Boys starring Blake Jenner and is in development on a dark comedy that he wrote titled Arm and a Leg.  He’s also just completed two gallery exhibitions of a photo project titled SIGNS OF LIFE.
