Elliott Lester is a multi-disciplinary director renowned for his diverse body of work. He began his career as an award-winning music video and commercial director, earning accolades such as Clios, Telly Awards, and Cannes Lions. Throughout his career, Elliott has collaborated with major brands including McDonald’s, Lexus, and Sony, and directed iconic music videos for artists like Thirty Seconds to Mars, The Fray, and Santigold.
In 2006, Elliott transitioned to theatrical filmmaking with his debut ensemble feature, “Love Is the Drug,” which premiered at Sundance. He continued to make his mark with “Blitz,” starring Jason Statham and Paddy Considine for Lionsgate, and the critically acclaimed “Nightingale,” starring David Oyelowo.
Elliott’s highly anticipated Western, “The Thicket,” based on the 2013 novel by Joe R. Lansdale, premiered to critical acclaim on September 6. The film features an impressive cast including Peter Dinklage, Juliette Lewis, Esmé Creed-Miles, and Levon Hawke.
In addition to directing, Elliott has recently produced two feature films: “Basmati Blues,” starring Brie Larson and Donald Sutherland, and “Captive,” featuring David Oyelowo and Kate Mara.
